Evening all 😚
This week I have started induction at the University and I must admit that I am really overwhelmed with all the information and expectations to reading, attendance and so on. I can definitely already feel the dif
ference in seriousness from the bachelor! But the good thing is that everything sounds soo interesting and I am really exited to start studying again (and last year after I finished my bachelor I was thinking; I will never put my self trough this again!).
Anyway that’s not what I wanted to write you about. On my way to Uni I was in such good time, that I decided to talk a little walk in the London Bridge area – were I have to catch the train to school. I stumbled across the Borough Market, which is like paradise if you are a foodie, and enjoy organic and quality commodities, as well as all different kind of streetfood.
The market have everything from olives, different kind of costume oils, cakes, bread, juices, fruit, fish, meat, and (most important)cheese. I am for sure going back there soon, either to try their street food or to buy some nice ingredients to make a little vegetarian tapas.
The experience really made me think about how important it is that we remember to break out off our fixed schedules and try to go somewhere we haven’t planned, or just do something out off our ordinary daily routines! It has been really easy for me when I moved to a big city like London all by yourself, and wanted to experience everything without really knowing were to go. I know that in Copenhagen it wouldn’t be common for me to just go somewhere new, without any reason. But it is so easy just to go to buy your coffee at a new place, talk a walk in an unknown place, or just take a new route on your way home from work, and pull over if you see something you like.
Yes, I now, maybe you already know your city in and out, but the point is – I am sure that taking the time to do something out off you fixed routine, will benefit you one way or the other. Maybe even give you some important inspiration, that you’ll use later on.
Well, that got a little longer than I expected 🙂 I’ll hurry off to bed, as I am exhausted! (starting at a new uni just takes a lot off energy from you, without you really doing anything!)
Sweat dreams everybody <3
