Hi all ☺ Hope you’re all doing well on this lovely monday(or os lovely as monday now can be).
Because I’am really busy, and partly also because I’am lazy, I sometimes get my eyelashes tinted black so I don’t have to spend time putting on mascara everyday. I haven’t done it for some time though, as I don’t really know which places to trust yet here in London. But when I saw that Benefit have a brow salon in all of there stores I decided to try them, as I’m a hugh Benit fan!
I must say that my lashes look good, but I’ll never go back to that place again! I’m not at all a service-snob, so there needs to go a lot wrong before I get upset, but the service from Benefit was really annoying! First I wasn’t let into the store before 5 minutes after my appointment as they were a bit behind with opening, okay fair enough. Then when I came in they started to put makeup on me to find the perfect concealer for my skin tone. I got really confused thinking I had booked the wrong service, but no no they just provided after-makeup so I wasn’t going to look red around my eyes after the treatment. After 10 minutes of colour-choosing, where I was getting a bit impatient, it turned out that the lady, who were supposed to actually colour my lashes, was stuck in traffic.. So I could come back 1 hour later or make a new time this afternoon. I choose to make a new time, and they were actually sweet enough promising me a discount and a little gift for free.
When I came back there were, funny enough, no make’up included, and the whole thing just went really quickly and I didn’t feel comfortable somehow. Afterwords a got 10% discount (so 2,8 pounds) and a goodie bag with basically only commercials whit new Benefit products and three 3.0 ml. foundations, and a very dark skin tone.
I decided to just be happy that my lashes look good, and decide to find a new place next time, until I saw that the colour had dripped, while I was sitting with my eyes closed down on my new jeans and my sweater (I was sitting in a bar stool with new back support)!! I told the lady and she just said it would come off in wash.. What the f? – Lets see, because if it’s not I really have to go back there and complain – even though I’am such a pushover when it comes to that. But I have to be strong, because I really don’t think that, that service was okay!
If you know a nice brow/lash-salon in London please let me know!! 🙂
Before having my traumatic lash-experience, I did have an amazing boots-experience as I just bought the boots of my dreams <3 I saw them in the Dr. Martens store 2 weeks ago, and after still thinking about them – I decided that they’re the ones 😍
I think they’re a perfect combination of edgy, raw, stylish and feminine. Some of the Dr. Martens boots are just to masculine for my taste even though I think they look really cool on people “who can were them”. The model I’ve bought is called Kristy, here, and is actually available in 4 different colours!
Now I’am a little bit less angry about the winter coming, and the lowering temperature – I’am actually a little bit exited to start wearing them. Amazing what new boots can do 😃
Talk to you again soon <3
