Heavenly good and original pizzas – 1 big enough for 4!

Hallo all 😚

Uuuuh now, I mean just in the past 3-4 days, the winter has suddenly hit us for real, and it is freeeezing. Me who have going around thinking, that maybe the slightly more southern London (compared to Copenhagen) means that the winter isn’t going to be that bad as I am used to. Of course I knew that it was going to be cold no matter what, (I know I haven’t moved to Thailand) and throughout November it has also been cold, but not so cold that you need to wear 5 layers of sweaters, 2 socks, a beanie, and a scarf and I don’t know what, to not die of coldness – no, it has actually been livable. BUT not anymore!
I hate winter, and the only good thing about it is Christmas, which I AM looking so much forward to.
Furthermore do I feel like I need a break from stress and constantly having something I need to do. Even though I actually have a quit important exam in the start of January 😁, but sometimes it is more important, also for the quality of your future work, that you force yourself to take a break. And the 7 days I am visiting Copenhagen and my family, I have promised myself will be a mini-“vacation”. I’ll probably still work on some projects for the blog and post a little bit as well, but other than that I will just try to take the time to get back to basic.
I do think that, that is something a lot of us need to think about as well. I know that there is always something we can do, especially if you, like me, are perfectionists, but that is exactly the point, that there is always something to do! So if you never just prioritize yourself, and take sometime to just relax, you’ll constantly just go around in a stress-bubble – never really enjoying what is happening around you.
Of course I can feel comfortable and happy while being busy, and I usually am – but if you get too busy it is necessary to ground a little bit. And Christmas-times is a perfect excuse for that.

No matter how busy I am, I do always find time to eat out and try new restaurants – we gotta eat right, and it might as well be tasty and new places, like this Pizza-place with gigantic pizzas I recently tried.
So far I have only been to the place two times, but will definitely come back many many times to come. The pizzas is both veggie, and non-veggie, and of course I can only speak for the veggie-styles I’ve tried – but they were delicious! I generally love when pizzas is a little untraditional and have some exotic spices/vegetables on top, and that is exactly how the pizzas are in Homeslice Pizza, Neal’s Yard.
They are still simple, with not to many ingredients. It can absolutely ruin a pizza if it has to many ingredients. For me 5-6 is more than enough and putting a 100 different things on your pizza is probably the biggest beginner-pizza-maker mistake.
Among the ingredients at Homeslice you can find everything from chili, cauliflower-cheese, pumpkin, spinach and caramelized onions (not on the same pizza!).
And the best thing!
If you can’t decide with pizza to choose from, you can just get 1 pizza with two different halves. That is pretty genius if you ask me, and I wish that it existed in every pizza place. Actually not only at pizza places, but generally at restaurants, I think it would be amazing if you could just order one half of each dish, if you can’t decide (which I never can).
But be careful, the pizzas are way two big for one, and two, actually we were 4 sharing, which were perfect. If you are really really hungry I think 3 would be a better number to share, and there would still be plenty of pizza for everybody.
If you’re only one or two it is also possibly to other slices – and the slices is gigantic as well. One is enough for a meal for one person.
A whole pizza is 20 £, which I think is cheap, thinking about you share the price between 3 or 4 persons – and they are some of the best pizzas I have ever had, so you are getting way more than you are paying for! One slice is 4 £.
I am pretty sure, that they have branches other places around London as well, if you don’t life close to Neal’s Yard, Covent Garden.
Seriously try them if you haven’t already!

Have an amazing Friday night all!😊

Love
– Maja
