Best lip balms that (actually) colour your lips

I often looove when other people wear lipstick and seriously think it can look so pretty and sexy, but I actually don’t really like to wear it my self. I think I get to self conscious about if it stays in line and doesn’t get on my teeth and stuff like that. I mean as stylish and sexy as it can look, as uncool can it look as well if it isn’t done right. If I ever wear lipstick I seriously stand with a cotton pad for ever and try to get it away from my skin and only on my lips, but every time I do something with my mouth it likes moves out of the “lines” again. I think my lips are weird for lipstick maybe. I have always been jealous of – you know that types of girl with the most beautiful red lips, who just takes out her lipstick to freshen up in the middle of a restaurant (without a mirror) and puts it on perfectly! I mean how is it even possible.
A while ago I borrowed my friends Kylie Jenner lipstick that also had a lipliner with it, and that actually looked super good, and didn’t move (I think even if somebody through a bucket of water in your face), but it just felt so tight and dry on my lips after an hour or so. Really uncomfortable. And even though it might have looked got, I didn’t feel comfortable or sexy with it at all.
So! I love wearing lip balms with colour instead. And of course, as it is not lipstick, it is a little bit hard to find some that actually have a decent amount of colour, and that at the same time keep the benefits of a good lip balm. And that also stays for more than an hour. After having tried around billions of products, I have found 3 all time favorites. These are all amazing lip balms, and they actually give colour almost as a lipstick would. But it blends much better into the lips, so you don’t have to spend an eternity with in front of the mirror.

1. Elizabeth Arden
Eight Hour Cream Lip Protectant Stick Sheer Tint Sunscreen SPF 15
This is hands down number 1 of the lip balms with colour! Not that the others aren’t amazing as well. But this lip balms gives so much colour and at the same time it is one of the best lip balms in the world. When using a lip balm with colour I expect it to not dry my lips out and give them a more natural coloring than lipstick, but this actually moister them better then most lip balms do, and the colour is practically like a lipstick. It comes in 4 shades, and if you choose the darkest one (which is my fav) it means that you maybe just have to use a mirror for a bit as the colour is so strong. It stills blend super beautiful into the lips and getting it to stay “in line” is easy, but if it isn’t put on straight it is visible.

2. Korres
Mandarin Lip Butter Stick
Another amazing moisturizer! You should choose it in the colour Rose or purple if you wan’t a lasting and good color effect though. All the colours are super pretty, but the lighter ones doesn’t really give a nice colour base, but more of a slight tint.
The colours mentioned though are super intense (with two layers or so) and last impressingly long. No need for a mirror with this one, even though the colours is strong the tone of the colours just blends into the lips naturally and it just always manages to look good. That is the dream!

3. Clinique
Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm
It took me a while to start using the Clinique Chubby Sticks, even though the hype was massive and everywhere. I didn’t really believe that they could work as moisturizers as they are very very colourful. But now I am obsessed. Not only with them, but with all Clinique Chubby Sticks. Their tinters and their cheek sticks especially. This product probably requires a mirror as well, and takes a little bit more effort than the other two, but it looks amazing and natural on – and moisture your lips perfectly all day. And the colour pallet to choose from at pretty fantastic!

Sleep well everyone.
